What To Bring To Hospital

Not sure what to bring for a hospital stay? Our packing list, created with advice from children and families who’ve been here before, will help you feel prepared, comfortable and a little more at home.

Some things to note

There are pull down parent beds next to every patient bed. If you need a place to stay long term, you can ask your child’s care team about Ronald McDonald House. If RMH is full, ECHC may be able support with other accommodation. Text/call us on 07594 090 720.

There are multiple places to get food or hot and cold drinks around the hospital site. You can also get sandwiches, toys, magazines, sweets, cards and more from our ECHC Shop.

There is also a WHSmith and Marks & Spencer located across the road in the Royal Infirmary building.

  • Health records or care plans, if needed
