Coming to hospital, especially if you’ve arrived as an emergency or in a rush, can be stressful. Maybe you didn’t have time to pack a bag, or you’ve left your toothbrush behind (it happens!). Whatever the reason, please don’t worry. This is where we come in!
We fund emergency supplies for the children’s hospital – things like toothbrushes, shampoo, clean underwear, socks, books and more – so you and your child can focus on what really matters, without worrying about the basics.
What are emergency supplies?
Think of it like a ‘just in case’ pack. We make sure the hospital has essentials like:
- Pyjamas
- Children’s clothing: t-shirts, joggers, leggings, socks, pants, vests, babygrows
- Adult clothing
- Sanitary products
- Shampoo, conditioner, shower gel
- Deodorant
- Toothpaste, toothbrushes
- Hairbrushes and hair bobbles
- Books
- Snacks
We unfortunately don’t have phone chargers we can give out, but if you pop by the Hub, we can charge your phone and make you a cuppa for while you wait.
How can I get them?
If you’re missing anything at all – no matter how small – just chat to your ward team or call us at The Hub on 07594 090 720 and we’ll get you sorted. There’s no need to stress or feel shy about asking. We’ve planned for moments like this, and we’re here to help.
Why we do it
We believe no one should feel unprepared or alone during their hospital stay. Thanks to generous donations and fundraising, we can provide these emergency supplies so you have one less thing to think about.
