Most families focus on celebrating their child’s first steps, first words, first tooth.
But some need help marking the ‘lasts’.

For some families who need to bring their child to hospital, they face the unbearably sad reality that they don’t get better.

Each year, our wonderful colleagues in NHS Lothian support around 50 families whose child dies at the Royal Hospital for Children and Young People. That’s one family every week. And we’re here to support them every step of the way.

Most families celebrate all the ‘firsts’ – the first steps, the first words, the first tooth. Your donation means that we can also help families mark the ‘lasts’, with compassion, love and respect.

You could help families like Fiona and Martin, whose little boy Jamie died at 9 months old. Or Fiona and Keith, whose daughter Ava sadly passed away last year, aged 15.

Thanks to wonderful supporters like you, both families had the chance to create precious keepsakes to treasure forever, keeping Jamie and Ava’s memories alive in their home and in their hearts.
