Outside Every Day
Outside Every Day is our brand new wellbeing challenge to encourage everyone to feel better.
With the worries of lockdown and a bumpy year ahead, it's more important than ever to look after our mental and physical wellbeing. Getting outdoors is one of the easiest and best ways to lower stress levels and give ourselves a boost.
Kicking off on Blue Monday 18 January and lasting until Valentine's Day (14 February), Outside Every Day is a simple but fun four week challenge that requires no training whatsoever. Hurray! All you need to do is take in the fresh air every day for the four weeks.
Whether it's a doddle with the kids for a dog walk, a cycle to watch the sunset or discovering your green fingers in the garden, any and all outdoor activities count. Please do remember to follow Covid guidelines, stay within your local authority area and avoid crowded places.
Do it solo or team up virtually with colleagues, friends or family members. All you need to do to sign up is email email@example.com, download Strava and sign up to Team ECHC Outside Every Day club by clicking here! We will be with you, in spirit and on Strava, on every outing with lots of words of encouragement.
The challenge is free and anyone can take part, but if you would like to raise funds for children and young people in hospital, CAMHS and community healthcare, you can set up a JustGiving page for the challenge here.
Covid is making life even more difficult for children in hospital, but ECHC is privileged to remain by their side. Your fundraising will support children who are sadly unable to go outside through our ward-based youth work and family support service, daily arts activities and hospital grants programme.
