Leave a Gift in your Will

Your will is an opportunity to leave future gifts for the people and causes you care most about.

Leaving a gift in your will makes a difference

Whether it’s a gift for friends, family or to a charity of your choice, a gift in your will leaves a lasting legacy in your memory.

Any gift you choose to leave for Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity, whatever size, will have a lasting impact for seriously ill children and young people coming to the hospital from all over Scotland.

We are very grateful for the support you give us today, and if you decide to include a gift for us in your will, you can support our future, and the futures of children using the hospital, too.

If you have already remembered us in your will, we would love to hear from you. This helps us to plan for the future, and ensures we can thank you properly for your support.

It's easier than you might think

Think about the family, friends, and charities you’d like to remember in your will.

If you choose to leave a gift to ECHC, your solicitor may ask you for our charity details to write your gift in to your will. Our registered charity number is: SC020862. Using this registered charity number ensures your gift comes to us correctly.

Writing your will or updating it to include a gift to us doesn’t have to be complicated or costly, especially if you use our Free Will writing service.

Why leave a gift to ECHC?

On average, legacies make up around 10% of our income each year, and this generosity enables us to be there for the children and young people who need us.

Gifts in wills have become a significant part of our income and we are extremely grateful when people choose to leave such a special gift.

Although some of the gifts we receive are large ones, the majority are not. Every gift will make a positive difference.

Free wills service

We are proud to offer a Free Wills service to all of our supporters – whether you choose to leave us a gift or not. We have partnered with Jones Whyte Solicitors who will help you to write your will, or Lasting Power of Attorney for free. This includes both single and joint wills.

If you have any questions about making or updating your will, or would like to be referred, you can call us confidentially and without any obligation on 0131 668 4949 or fill out the form below and we will be in touch.
