Mission complete for The Leith Agency’s Marvel-lous troupe of superheroes who absolutely smashed their ‘Porty Splash for Cash’, raising £5321 for seriously ill children in hospital!
It’s a cause very close to their hearts as Ethan (pictured), the son of Leith’s wonderful Producer Fraser, was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer called Desmoplastic Small Round Cell Tumour last year.
Ethan spent the next few months being treated at Edinburgh Children’s Hospital. With the help of the incredible NHS staff and ECHC, Ethan’s family found support, distraction and even a few laughs during an otherwise very difficult time.
Superman – AKA Simon from The Leith Agency – said: “We wanted to do something to thank the ECHC team for everything they did for Ethan – a Spiderman fanatic and our own personal hero. So we decided to take a dip in the sea at Porty, in the hope that people would dip into their pockets too!
“It was pretty chilly but great fun and thankfully the sunshine and superhero powers kept us warm(ish)! We were overwhelmed by the amount of people who turned out to watch, and by the amount of people who generously donated to support children and families in hospital on good days, bad days and everything in between.”
