Edinburgh Children’s Hospital Charity is licensed and regulated in Great Britain by Edinburgh City Council under number 493473.

What is Unity?

Unity is a joint lottery run for charities like us, by a company called Sterling Management Centre. They handle the ins and outs of running a lottery, so we don’t have to. By being part of the Unity Lottery, we are able to offer bigger prizes to our players.

What is Your Lottery?

Your Lottery is ECHC’s weekly charity lottery. It’s a fantastic way to support our work, whilst being in with the chance to win weekly cash prizes. There is a top prize of £25,000 and it’s open to all residents of Great Britain age 18 or over. Fancy your chances? Play now.

How much does it cost?

Each entry into Your Lottery costs £1 per week. You may sign up for as many entries as you like. If you choose to pay by Direct Debit, this will work out at £4.34 per month – which allows for 4 week and 5 week months. Checks will be carried out on anyone signing up for more than two lines per month, to ensure we do our best to safeguard vulnerable people.

Where does the prize money come from?

Because Unity is a joint lottery, we are able to offer much bigger prizes from the communal pot. Whilst we do pay a fee to be a member, it is much lower than if we were funding the prizes ourselves.

How do I play?

It’s very easy! Simply sign up online by Direct Debit today.  If you’d prefer to sign up via a different channel, you can call the dedicated hotline on 0370 050 9240.

How are the winners selected?

Each Friday, random number software selects the winning numbers. All winners will be notified by email or post and automatically have their winnings deposited into their bank account. If your address changes, please notify us on 0131 668 4949 so you don’t miss out!

How will you send me confirmation of my number(s)?

Once your entry has been processed, we’ll send you your welcome letter, with all the information you need including the date from which your unique player number(s) will be entered. Please note this may take up to 14 days…and remember to keep this letter in a safe place!

Which safeguarding checks are in place for vulnerable people?

To comply with age restrictions, all players must be over 18. We also perform random checks with anyone over the age of 70, and anyone choosing to play more than two lines per month. If you would class yourself as vulnerable, or if you would like to Self Exclude yourself from Your Lottery, please email us at and we will keep a record of your decision.
