Duloch Spiderman Conquers Base Camp

Does he Ever Rest?!

Phenomenal fundraiser Dave – who doubles as Duloch Spiderman – and his dad Kevin took on the mammoth challenge of conquering Mount Everest Base Camp to help seriously ill children in hospital.

Dave and Kevin climbed 17,600ft up the Himalayan mountain, trekking for 11 days and battling altitude sickness along the way, raising an incredible £6500 for children and families going through the toughest of times.

Dave says: “Completing this incredible challenge with my dad is one of the best things that I have ever done. An experience that neither of us will ever forget, memories that will last a lifetime, what an adventure.

“I remember being told by a friend that everyone has a Sick Kids story, and it’s so true. I’ve been very fortunate to meet so many people over the last few years as Spiderman, many of whom have been through the hospital and share their experiences with me. It really motivates me to do my bit for such an amazing cause.

“Raising over £6500 for ECHC while doing this challenge is the icing on the cake. It’s been phenomenal. It’s certainly tough going, but the views were so worth it.”

Dave started out dressing as Spiderman and running around his local neighbourhood to cheer up kids stuck inside during lockdown. He then began fundraising and has now raised an incredible over £23,000 for children and their families in hospital. We cannot thank him enough for his mountain of generosity!
